Chandra Harris Snyder is a Partner of the firm and serves as an active Attorney for Slaven, Snyder & Wise, P.C. She brings several years of legal, corporate and human resource experience to her role as an Associate Attorney. This firm was formed after Chandra’s successful career as Supervising Associate Attorney of Hampton Roads Legal Services where she focused primarily on consumer bankruptcy. Prior to becoming an attorney, Chandra was an accomplished HR professional in benefits administration and human resource development with Target Corporation.
She is admitted to practice law in the State of Virginia. Chandra fulfills a number of roles for the law office. She spends most of her time engaged with clients and oversees all stages of the bankruptcy process. Additionally, she handles Domestic Relations cases, Traffic and Criminal Misdemeanor and some Felony cases, Personal Injury, as well as Wills and Estate Planning, and Corporate matters.
She graduated in May 2008 from Regent University School of Law, after receiving her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Virginia Wesleyan College in 1996. While at Regent, Chandra served as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Board Member, as well as a Regent Student Ambassador. During law school, she served as an intern at the Chesapeake General District Court and worked part time for Oast & Hook. During this time, she gained invaluable courtroom experience and knowledge of Wills and Trust Administration. Recently, Chandra has been successful in settling cases, which have included Opposing Counsel from the Office of the Attorney General in Richmond, Virginia.
Chandra is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia, but also lived in French speaking Belgium, Europe, for 12 years. Her international background provides a unique understanding to the diverse needs of clients. Chandra is a member of the Virginia Young Lawyer’s Division of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Women Attorneys Association, the Chesapeake Bar Association, the Virginia Beach Bar Association and the Tidewater Bankruptcy Bar Association.
She is married to Martin D. Snyder. The couple is proud to call Virginia Beach, Virginia, their home. They are devoted to their four-legged child, Riley Max Snyder, a spoiled little Maltese.

Ronald (Ronnie) Slaven, Jr., moved to Virginia from Utah in 2005 after completing his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University. Upon completing law school in Northern Virginia, Mr. Slaven relocated to Chesapeake, Virginia, with his wife, who is from the Great Bridge area. Mr. Slaven has been practicing law in the Hampton Roads area since his admission to the Virginia Bar in June 2010. Formerly, Mr. Slaven practiced with the firm of Thomas & Associates, P.C., in Virginia Beach and the firm of Hester, Shilling & Pass in Chesapeake (now Shilling, Pass & Barlow).
